Our Story

Although our paths began in different countries, professions, and life experiences, we found a shared mission: ensuring that women who face vulnerability, isolation, or systemic barriers are not left behind.

Evita Karapiperi

I am a certified coach and mental health counsellor with over twenty years experience in customer services and specifically thirteen years of experience supporting individuals in moments of crisis, transition, and personal difficulty. My professional journey began in customer services, teaching english before  transitioning to the role of Consular Officer, where I worked closely with vulnerable people facing distress, uncertainty, and life-changing circumstances. These experiences shaped my approach, deepened my empathy, and strengthened my commitment to helping others rebuild stability, confidence, and hope.

Alongside my professional qualifications, I bring the depth of nearly ten years of coaching experience and five years of dedicated counselling work, supporting individuals through challenging and transformative moments of their lives. Combined with my MBA in Human Resource Management, this background allows me to connect emotional support with practical, workforce-focused guidance in a way that is both compassionate and strategic. I have developed a deep understanding of the unique barriers women face when navigating employment, personal development, or major life transitions, particularly when those journeys involve caregiving responsibilities, cultural adjustment, or the weight of past difficulties.

At CORA, my mission is to offer a safe, inclusive, and empowering space where women feel seen, supported, and capable of achieving their goals. I bring together my expertise in coaching, mental health, HR, and crisis support to help each woman access her strengths, overcome barriers, and move forward with clarity and confidence.

Ana Vadachkoria

I am an immigrant mother who chose Crete to build a new life for myself and my daughter, carrying with me a journey with determination, change, and the belief that every woman deserves the chance to grow.

My academic path began with a Bachelor’s degree in Law, followed by an MBA in Human Resource Management. I’ve worked in the public sector, where I saw how access, information, working conditions, and support can transform a woman’s life. Those experiences opened my eyes to how many women feel unseen, unheard, or limited, not because of a lack of talent, but because opportunities were never within reach.

Here in Crete I brought with me both my experience and my commitment to helping others. Yet I also carried the challenges of being an immigrant navigating a new system. Encountered barriers that many women face: cultural adjustment, career disruption, limited networks, and the need for emotional and financial stability. These experiences deepened my understanding of social inclusion and empowered me to take action. To create a supportive community where women can learn, advance, and connect. I founded this initiative because I believe that when women are supported, societies grow stronger.

I believe that empowerment is not just a program, it is a long-term, meaningful investment in women’s futures. Crete is my home now, and through this work, I hope to help other women feel at home too, in this community, in their goals, and in themselves.

Joining Forces to Create CORA

Although our paths began in different countries, professions, and life experiences, we found a shared mission: ensuring that women who face vulnerability, isolation, or systemic barriers are not left behind. Through our work, we witnessed firsthand the gaps in support for women over 50, single mothers, expat women, career returners, and women with limited education—groups too often overlooked by traditional services.

Recognising this gap, we combined our backgrounds in coaching, counselling, HR, law, crisis support, and lived experience to create CORA: a space built for women, shaped by empathy, and driven by purpose. CORA was founded on the belief that when women are supported with the right tools, guidance, and community, they can transform their lives and, in turn, strengthen the communities around them.
Together, we are committed to offering a place where every woman is welcomed, empowered, and given the opportunity to thrive.
